Virginia Premier Health Plan Project Analyst in Glen Allen, Virginia

Overview

Initiative Management Team (IMT) Project Analyst works collaboratively as a participant on interdisciplinary teams within organization initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining communication with and among project teams to facilitate effective project execution, documentation, and issue resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Supports IMT initiatives by coordinating project administration, reviewing, revising and maintaining critical documents required to support the program

  • Creates and maintains required documentation including SharePoint sites, meeting minutes, project logs, project schedules, and status reports

  • Support an assigned Sr. Project Manager and manage project activities, as requested

  • Ability to document project risks and issues

  • Constructs project-related documentation: power point presentations, excel spreadsheets and other documents that are needed to support projects

  • Attends meetings, compiles and publishes meeting minutes along with deliverables and other requirements

  • Facilitate communications among project team members, including Senior Management

  • Demonstrate ability to work on cross-functional teams on multiple projects

  • Partners with other shared service teams to ensure all technical and support needs are met on projects

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Four (4) year college degree from an accredited institution required

  • Knowledge of the Project Management Institute, preferred

  • Basic knowledge of Project Management methodology, preferred

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND/OR SKILLS

  • Experience with MS Office. MS Project, Project Server and MS OneNote preferred

  • Experience with SharePoint preferred

  • Openly and actively communicates information and takes initiative to communicate with co-workers

  • Handles difficult situations diplomatically

  • Ability to build strong relationships within and outside the health plan

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and document issues and risks and propose solutions

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and as part of a team

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills

WORK BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 2 years of related experience

  • Computer skills required (Microsoft Office Suite)

  • Experience with project coordination preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position.
