Performance Food Group Accountant II in Richmond, Virginia
The Accountant II position will perform the following duties:
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts.
Prepares and posts journal entries.
Prepare and record month-end accruals.
Prepares reports detailing monthly expenses by cost center.
Analyzes total Corporate expenses, including comparisons to forecasted results and trended results.
Assists in preparing forecast by cost center.
Invoices other locations for intercompany charges.
Tracks and allocates costs.
Prepares Ad Hoc analyses as needed.
Corresponds with Corporate Finance to ensure proper accounting for revenue and expenses.
Prepares, examines, or analyzes accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

2-4 years of experience in general ledger accounting
Thorough understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze financial information
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a working knowledge of Microsoft Access
General ledger accounting system experience
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects/tasks in a changing environment
Self-motivated with ability to work under and meet strict deadlines individually as well as in a team environment
Knowledge and understanding of internal control environment
Ability to work flexible hours as required
Performance Food Group
BS in Accounting
4-6 years of experience in general ledger accounting
SAP experience or exposure to other major ERP applications
General ledger accounting system experience with TM1 and/or Blackline
Experience with project leadership
