Seneca Resources Machine Operator in Richmond, Virginia
Position: Machine Operator
Client: Confidential (Printing Company)
Location: Richmond, VA 23228
Duration: 6-month contract to hire
Shift: Monday-Wednesday or Thursday-Sunday (7am to 7pm)
The operator performs manual and machine operations related to operating the saddle stitcher machine and the Offline Trimmer Machine. Binds sheets into saddle-stitched and trimmed booklets by use of automated bindery finishing machine. Loads pockets in proper order, makes necessary adjustments to stitcher, trimmer and punch. Inspects finished work during production and makes modification as needed.
Under general supervision, operates or directs operation of (one or multi-color) printing press to print in accordance with job orders.
MUST have their own reliable transportation (No exceptions)
Machine operation experience is a plus. Mechanically inclined candidates will be considered.
Able to stand and work on their feet for long periods of time
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. without any issues
Must have flexible schedule and be available for OT on short notice
Ability to work under pressure and to meet short deadlines

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment can be loud (hearing protection is provided and required). The employee is often required to sit; climb or balance; and walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Employee must have the ability to remain standing for an entire shift.
Employee must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
